【摘要】:Bothsuppliersandusersofmetalscanbenefitfromknowledgeoftheskeletaldensityofthesematerials.Resultsofmanyintermediateandfinalprocessingstepsarecontrolledbyorrelatedtoskeletaldensityofthemetal.Inaddition,theperformanceofmanysinteredorcastmetalstructuresmaybepredictedfromtheskeletaldensityofthestartingmetalpowder,foralloraportionofthefinishedpiece.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofskeletaldensityofmetalpowders.Thetestmethodspecifiesgeneralproceduresthatareapplicabletomanycommercialpycnometryinstruments.Themethodprovidesspecificsampleoutgassingproceduresforlistedmaterials.Itincludesadditionalgeneraloutgassinginstructionsforothermetals.Theidealgaslawformsthebasisforallcalculations.1.2Thistestmethoddoesnotincludeallexistingproceduresappropriateforoutgassingmetalmaterials.Theincludedproceduresprovidedacceptableresultsforsamplesanalyzedduringaninterlaboratorystudy.Theinvestigatorshalldeterminetheappropriatenessoflistedprocedures.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3.1ThistestmethodusesSIunitsasstandardinaccordancewith.StateallnumericalvaluesintermsofSIunitsunlessspecificinstrumentationsoftwarereportsvolumeand/ordensityusingalternateunits.Inthiscase,presentbothreportedandequivalentSIunitsinthefinalwrittenreport.Manyinstrumentsreportskeletaldensityasg/cm3insteadofusingcorrectSIunits(kg/m3).1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
