【摘要】:Thistestmethodisnotconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsoffabricsbecausethebetween-laboratoryprecisionofthetestmethodispoor(see15.1).Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalsignificantdifferencebetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,usethesamplesforsuchacomparativetestthatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Thetestresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorfuturetestingforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationofthestatisticallysignificantdifferences.Thistestmethodmaybeusedforqualitycontroltestingoffabricsduringmanufacturingandproductcomparisonsofdifferentfabricsbymanufacturers,retailers,andusers.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedbyresearcherstoexaminetheeffectofnewfibers,yarns,fabricconstructions,andfinishesonthesnaggingresistanceoffabrics.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtotestthesnaggingresistanceofmostapparelandhomefurnishingsfabrics.However,adifferenttestmethodmaybeneededfordifferenttypesoffabricsanddifferentend-uses(suchastowels,pants,andupholstery)(see5.3.1).Somefabricsthatmaynotbesuitableforthistestmethodaredescribedin1.2.ManyopenconstructionfabricscanbetestedforsnaggingresistanceusingAATCCTestMethod65.ThesnaggingresistanceofmanypilefloorcoveringscanbetestedbyTestMethodD1335.TestMethodD5362(BeanBag)mayalsobeconsideredasanalternativefortestingthesnaggingresistanceoffabrics.ThistestmethoddoesnotapplytotheABCSnagTester.Sincefabricsnaggingcanbeaffectedbylaunderingordrycleaning,itmaybeadvisabletotestthesnaggingresistanceofafabricbeforeandafterlaunderingordrycleaning.Thesnaggingresistanceofaspecificfabricvarieswithindividualwearersandgeneralconditionsofuse.Therefore,itcanbeexpectedthatgarmentsofthesamefabricwillshowafairlywidesnaggingresistancespectrumafterwearandmuchgreatervariationinwearthaninreplicatefabricspecimenssubjectedtocontrolledlaboratorytests.Thisfactorshouldbeconsideredwhenadoptinglevelsofacceptabilityforanyspecificationthatincludessnaggingresistance.Snagsobservedinworngarmentsvaryappreciablyinnumberandappearance.Theappearanceofasnagdependsparticularlyon(1)thedegreeofcolorcontrastbetweenthesnagandthesurroundingareaofthefabricor(2)thepresenceoflongdistortionsorlongprotrusions.Theseconditionsarenotevaluatedwhensnaggingisratedsolelyonthenumberofsnags.SeeSection13foradescriptionofcolorcontrast,distortion,andprotrusionasusedinthistestmethod;andseeFigs.1through3inTestMethodD5362forpicturesoffabricdefectsduetosnagging.Becausetheoverallacceptabilityofaspecificfabricisdependentonboththecharacteristicsofthesnagsandotherfactorsaffectingfabricappearance,itisrecommendedthatfabricstestedinthelaboratorybeevaluatedwithregardtothedefectsthatmaybeobservedvisuallyandnotra......

【摘要】:TheaimofthisTechnicalReportis:-togivethereaderamodeloftimeandspaceoverheadsimpliedbyuseofvariousC++languageandlibraryfeatures,-todebunkwidespreadmythsaboutperformanceproblems,-topresenttechniquesforuseofC++inapplicationswhereperformancematters,and-topresenttechniquesforimplementingC++Standardlanguageandlibraryfacilitiestoyieldefficientcode.Asfarasrun-timeandspaceperformanceareconcerned,ifyoucanaffordtouseCforanapplication,youcanaffordtouseC++inastylethatusesC++’sfacilitiesappropriatelyforthatapplication.ThisTechnicalReportfirstdiscussesareaswhereperformanceissuesmatter,suchasvariousformsofembeddedsystemsprogrammingandhigh-performancenumericalcomputation.Afterthat,themainbodyoftheTechnicalReportconsidersthebasiccostofusinglanguageandlibraryfacilities,techniquesforwritingefficientcode,andthespecialneedsofembeddedsystemsprogramming.Performanceimplicationsofobject-orientedprogrammingarepresented.ThisdiscussionrestsonmeasurementsofkeylanguagefacilitiessupportingOOP,suchasclasses,classmemberfunctions,classhierarchies,virtualfunctions,multipleinheritance,andrun-timetypeinformation(RTTI).Itisdemonstratedthat,withtheexceptionofRTTI,currentC++implementationscanmatchhand-writtenlow-levelcodeforequivalenttasks.Similarly,theperformanceimplicationsofgenericprogrammingusingtemplatesarediscussed.Here,however,theemphasisisontechniquesforeffectiveuse.Errorhandlingusingexceptionsisdiscussedbasedonanothersetofmeasurements.Bothtimeandspaceoverheadsarediscussed.Inaddition,thepredictabilityofperformanceofagivenoperationisconsidered.TheperformanceimplicationsofIOStreamsandLocalesareexaminedinsomedetailandmanygenerallyusefultechniquesfortimeandspaceoptimizationsarediscussed.Thespecialneedsofembeddedsystemsprogrammingarepresented,includingROMabilityandpredictability.AseparatechapterpresentsgeneralCandC++interfacestothebasichardwarefacilitiesofembeddedsystems.AdditionalresearchiscontinuingintotechniquesforproducingefficientC++librariesandprograms.PleaseseetheWG21websiteatwww.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21forexamplecodefromthisTechnicalReportandpointerstoothersiteswithrelevantinformation.
