【摘要】:ThispartofBS5440specifiesrequirementsfortheinstallationofgasappliancestochimneys,chimneyinstallationworklikelytobeundertakenbygasengineersandoperativesworkingunderUKgasindustryconditionsandrequirementsforthemaintenanceofchimneys.ItisapplicabletoopenfluechimneysforTypeBgasappliancesandroom-sealedchimneyconfigurationsforTypeCgasappliances,eachofratedinputnotexceeding70kWnet(seeNote2andNote3),burning1st,2ndor3rdfamilygases.Itappliestochimneysofthenaturaldraughtorfanneddraughttypeandisapplicabletoopenfluechimneysandroom-sealedchimneyssuppliedwiththeapplianceaswellastothosesuppliedseparately.Itcomplementstherequirementsforthedesign,installationandcommissioningofchimneysasrequiredinBSEN15287-1andBSEN15287-2andrequiresextradetailsthatarespecifictotheUKgasindustry.ThisiskeptinperspectivebyquotingsomedetailsofBSEN15287-1andBSEN15287-2.Itspecifiesthefollowing:?requirementsfortheselectionoftheappropriateflueingoptionforgasappliancesintheUK;?requirementsfortheinstallationofgasappliancestonewchimneys,orchimneyconfigurations;?requirementsfortheinstallationofgasappliancestoexistingchimneysorchimneyconfigurations;?requirementsfortheinstallationofapplianceswhichcarryaCEmarkandforwhichthemanufacturer’sinstructionsareavailabletotheinstaller;?requirementsinstallationofapplianceswhichdonotcarryaCEmarkandused/second-handappliancesforwhichthemanufacturer’sinstructionsareavailabletotheinstaller.ThispartofBS5440isapplicableto:?completechimneyandallchimneycomponentsfromtheapplianceconnectiontothedischargepointintooutsideair;?theinstallationofgasappliancestoexistingchimneysthatwereintendedoriginallyforappliancesburningotherfuels;?chimneysforresidentialparkhomesbutnottochimneysforleisureaccommodationvehicles.ThispartofBS5440isnotapplicabletogas-firedincinerators.RefertoBS5871-3fortheinstallationofdecorativefueleffectappliances.ThispartofBS5440includescompatibilityofappliancesinstalledintheUKwithnewchimneysdesignatedunderBSEN1443andwithexistingchimneys,includingnon-designatedchimneys.
